Valentines ‘James Bond’ Casino Night

On an extremely windy Saturday evening in February the Alexander Hosea PTA held their first ever PTA Casino Night.

With a ‘James Bond’ theme flowing, the school hall was successfully transformed into our casino hall and with a hint of Valentines it was beautifully decorated with handmade floral bouquets and helium balloons. Not to mention the cardboard cut outs of James Bond and his bond girls which started popping up after a very kind donation from the ‘Tortworth Court Hotel’.

Professional croupiers added that touch of casino magic with 2 tables of Blackjack and Roulette running simultaneously throughout the evening and for those who didn’t fancy a flutter, our fantastic play list, put together by one of our members kept the dance floor busy all night.

A fantastic buffet was included in the very reasonable ticket price and this together with a well stocked and VERY cheap bar kept all our guests fed and watered throughout the evening.

Our raffle was yet another success thanks to the very kind donations from local businesses (The Buthay, Wickwar & Nails & Beauty, Yate). Our prizes were well sought after, with many raffle tickets being sold, helping to raise valuable funds for our school.

But none of this would be possible if it wasn’t for a group of very committed parents who continually give up their spare time, buy tickets and support the PTA and it’s to those Mums and Dads that I would like to take this opportunity to say a HUGE thank you to!!
