Listen very carefully I shall say this only once, the Alexander Hosea School PTA ‘ave a plan…
…On a chilly Saturday evening in October ‘Rene’s Café’ opened its doors for business. Wickwar village hall had been beautifully transformed into a copy cat french café where guests and PTA members, many dressed as characters from the hit TV show, sat down to enjoy a 2 course candlelit french dinner.
With a cosy, warm feel and a superb atmosphere guests not only tucked into a fabulous meal but also enjoyed the delights of a well stocked bar, a fantastic raffle with prizes donated from local businesses and a very successful auction where our top prize – an original painting (by Tom White) of ‘The Fallen Madonna with the Big Boobies’ (with a twist) fetched well over £100!!

Dancing then continued well into the night. Our brilliant DJ and the added spontaneity of a local salsa teacher, who gave us a quick lesson in the art of Salsa helped keep the dance floor full.
Even with many a sore head and many sore feet in the morning, the event was a tremendous success with all money raised going to the school and PICU.

My HUGE thanks go out to everybody who helped, supported us and gave up their free time before, during and after - these events just wouldn’t happen without you!!!
